TSA is a national organization of students engaged in STEM competitions that address different interest areas rooted in architecture, communications, engineering, leadership, and technology research. Through competitions that are held at the regional, state, and national levels, TSA strives to develop students’ leadership skills within technical world through events such as biotechnology design, flight endurance, and structural engineering. The event held over 2,000 students ranging from 6th-12th grade in attendance, providing a wonderful opportunity to share ASCE's involvement in the TSA/STEM community. The event also facilitated engagement with passionate students to provide guidance on how students can become involved in the future. The event was booth-style and was hosted indoors. Members of the ASCE - Norfolk Branch (Alex Villa-Nelson, Mike Bumbaco, and Kayode Aransiola) attended the weekend event, meeting with many students who showed great interests in the engineering profession. ASCE - Norfolk Branch members engaged in networking and discussions between the students, parents, schoolteachers, and co-exhibitors. The program was a success!
